CHAVEZ, Carmen, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 in the city of Whittier, CA. Carmen was born on December 20, 1922 in Los Angeles, California to Jesus Mendoza and Esperanza Vega. Carmen worked as a rate clerk in the fashion industry for 20 years. Beloved mother of Irene Altamirano, Cecilia Chavez and Robert Chavez. Loving Grandmother and great-grandmother. Sister to Elvira Ramos Leyva, Anita Montenegro and Jess Mendoza. She will be missed by all but we know she is in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
