Carmen Zuniga

Our Mother Carmen Marquez Zuniga was born on June 25, 1934 in El Palmito, Michoacán, Mexico, to Maria Nicanor and Francisco Marquez. She returned to the Lord on August 27, 2025 to join her loving husband of 72 years, Rafael Zuniga, their daughter Margarita Armendariz, Esperanza Zuniga and Rafael Zuniga Jr., along with her parents, two brothers and sister.

Our parents had 12 children and are survived by 9 children and their spouses. Margarita Armendariz✝ (husband Raul Armendariz), Esperanza Zuniga ✝, Maria St.Cyr, (husband Roger St Cyr), twins Carmen Gonzales (husband George Gonzales ✝) and twin Rafael Zuniga Jr. ✝, Jose Luis Zuniga (wife Maricela Zuniga), Peter Zuniga (wife Carla Zuniga), Jesus Zuniga (wife Karen Zuniga), twins Fernando Zuniga and Gloria Vasquez (husband Hector Vasquez), Veronica Zuniga (husband Damian Zavala), and Gerardo Zuniga (wife Danelle Zuniga). She is also survived by 54 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Our Mothers favorite holiday was Christmas, she loved bringing family together, celebrating Baby Jesus’ Birthday; Most importantly, it met her life goal which is having a united family, giving her children what she did not have and focusing on faith and the true meaning of Christmas.
