Dolores Sabedra

Dolores Duarte Sabedra of Pico Rivera, 94 years young, died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, February 13, 2023 with family by her side. Dolores, affectionately known as "Lola" was born on March 30, 1928 in Morenci, Arizona to Pedro Duarte and Germana Ojeda Duarte. Lola loved to share stories of her childhood with her children growing up in the mining camp of Morenci. She and her siblings moved to California in the early 1940's to the city of Pico where her father built their home.

Lola is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Juanita (Jenny) Salcido, Emmanuel (Nelly) Calderon, Margaret Arrellano, Mary Paz, and Petra Kirby, and brothers Peter Duarte and Raymond Duarte. She is survived by her brother Nativdad Duarte and sister Isabel Duarte. In addition, Lola is survived by her children Ruben Sabedra {(Leticia) children Ruth, Brenda, and Kim}, Son Robert Sabedra (son Philip), Daughter Theresa Duran (Sons Isaac (Deceased) Elfego, Raymond), Son Juan Manuel "Manny" {(Barbara) son Ceasar and Daughter Felisa}, Daughter Victoria Esquivel (Son George, Jr, Valerie, Tiffany, and Son Jared Esquivel), and Daughter Susana "Chita" Orozco (Daughter Krista Orozco, Son Gerado Orozco). Lola is also survived by many great grandchildren and great-great children to numerous to attempt to mention. Dolores especially will be remembered for her generous nature and her fiery spirit that served to strengthen everyone she met.

Visitation Monday March 6, 2023 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Funeraria del Angel, 9107 Washington Blvd., Pico Rivera, Rosary March 6, 2023 12:00 PM, Funeral Liturgy March 6, 2023 12:30 PM Burial at 2 PM Resurrection Cemetery at 966 N Potrero Grande Drive, Rosemead, CA.
