Gloria Ricarda Velasco

Gloria Ricarda Velasco was born in 1929 as Ricarda Gloria Perez, but as an adult she didn't like her first name. So she switched them around. She was the youngest of twelve children born to Paulina Sanchez and Eufemio Perez. Gloria was born in Nangue in the district of Teocaltiche, Jalisco Mexico where their family owned a convenience store, where they also sold

many goods from their ranch. She came to the United States in the late 1940's. She worked at the Roosevelt Hotel where she met Pablo Hurtado. They married and had two daughters, Gloria and Lilia. Later they divorced. A few years later she met Jose Reynosa and they married. At the age of 70 she met her 3rd husband Joe Velasco, who passed away on January 17, 2023. Gloria Ricarda Velasco has seven grand-children, Fourteen great-grand children and two great-great-grandchildren. Gloria Ricarda Velasco past away on September 21, 2023 holding her two daughters hands. She

was 94 years old.

A visitation for Gloria will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Pico Rivera, 9107 East Washington Blvd, Pico Rivera, CA 90660. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 10:30 AM at St Hilary Church, 5465 Citronell Ave, Pico Rivera, California 90660. A burial will occur Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Resurrection Cemetery, 966 N Potrero Grande Dr, Rosemead, California 91770.
