Manolo Gualberto

Manny, as he was affectionately called, was born to Vicente Gualberto and Rosario Julian Gualberto and his siblings included eldest brother Bienvenidos and youngest sister Marina.

The Gualberto Family moved to the Don Pedro Subdivision in Valenzuela, Metro Manila where Manny received a degree in Civil Engineering from Mapua Institute of Technology. Before immigrating to the United States in 1981, he worked as a Civil Engineer for the Philippine Ports Authority. He then moved to Los Angeles, CA where he spent the remainder of his life working as a steel detailer for several steel subcontractors before starting his own steel detailing business (MG Engineering) where he was his own boss and employee.

Manny loved music, especially Cliff Richards and The Beatles, and was an ardent traveler who enjoyed nature and water, despite not knowing how to swim. He loved electronics and enjoyed tinkering with many DIY home projects.

Manny relished being surrounded by those he loved and was always readily available whenever help was needed.

Manny is survived by his wife, Madeleine; three children -- Meliza, Marcus and Melvin; his grandchildren Marc and Jorge; his sister Marina; and devoted companion Luigi the dog.
