I know only two things in life are certain, death an taxes (so pay your debt when you can, and don't forget to live life with no regrets). This is a saying that Manuel and I had joked about this past summer  while I had the privilege of getting to know him as "grandpa Manuel" and not just my friends grandpa. He told me things could always be worse but it will always get better in the end no matter what the situation of problem. He shared countless memories with me, mostly about his family and loved ones, also his life trials good and bad.  I only wish a had gotten to know him long ago. This weekend I had the honor  of meeting his wife whom he loved with great passion , as well as a good handful of his other loving family. I was able to see just how much of an effect and inspiration he was to you all and I saw a little of him in you all. Again I am so grateful for the time spent getting to no him and have comfort knowing that he isn't in pain any longer and is forever going to be looking out for us all.  What I always noticed and admired was , no matter how bad he may have felt physically sometimes or what his mood might have been, he always managed to have a smile on his face and greeted me with warm kind words and a hug. I lost my father and all my grandparents years ago. so getting to know your (father, grandpa, brother, or whom ever Manuel Rios was to you it brought me great comfort and happiness. Having him in my life Although only for a sort time he still had an impact on me as well.  We as humans are not without sin and some sort of difficult past, but as long as we learned a lesson and grew from our problems, Manuel believed even the biggest sinner will be forgiven in the end.  It's my belief as a   practicing  catholic and a sinner myself that when our time is up we will all be greeted and ushered into the pearly white gates of heaven, just as I know our beloved Manuel was welcomed as he was laid to rest. God bless you all in this time of sadness. but always remember the body maybe gone, the sprit may pass from this earth, however our memories pictures and accomplishments will forever live on in our family and loved ones. -Jennifer Reaves

Sophia and Richard Urias ....... memories go back a long way tio ...... many a summer day with you, pops and me with a beer and a laugh .... these are the memories that I will always remember .... looking at your pictures you kept the good times going .... good for you .... you will be missed
