Mary Garcia

It is with deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Mary Garcia, who entered eternal rest on September 27, 2025 at the amazing age of 99. Mary was born on June 2, 1926 in Los Angeles, California to Lorenzo Hernandez and Simona Tellez. She was the second born of 13 children and outlived all her siblings.

In her early 20’s she met Henry A. Garcia and started a beautiful life together. They were married until his departure from this earth on September 23, 1991. Mary was a widow for 34 years and was the heart of her family.

Mary lived a humble life and spent her time caring for her family and anyone that needed help. She was an amazing cook and had a love for margaritas, Glenn Miller, mariachi and oldies music. Her distinct dimples and twinkle in her eyes caught the attention of many and brought smiles to all who loved her.

Mary is lovingly survived by her six children, Henry Jr., Irene, Lorraine, Tina, Danny and Robert as well as twelve grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren to which she left a profound impact on their lives. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews that held her close to their heart.

Although, Mary waited 34 years to be reunited with her husband, it is comforting to know they are together again. Mary’s life and legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends and memories of her will never fade. She will be deeply missed. May she rest in peace.
