For his children we didn't know that he had passed once again he was a great musician and a great friend

I'm Jack Goucher. I was first drummer for the Band Laura Dawn and Daybreak. I was first to contact Ray in 1985 to play keyboards for our band who had landed a job at a casino across the river. Ray was a great guy. Here we are in July 2001. I am sorry for you..the family of Ray. It's obvious from looking at all those photos that he also came from a great family. My wife passed on last July and like her i can not help but wish Ray is now in great place. My sympathies to you all.  Jack Goucher.

 sincerest, deepest, heartfelt condolences. I met Ray when I moved to Bullhead in 84 and played in his band for the next 3 years. He was like an older brother to me and taught me SO much. I remember we did shots of Crown on his 34th birthday while we played a gig...fantastic memories and Ray and I stayed in Touch all these years...I'm so saddened such a great man left us so soon...here is to you Ray until we.meet again my brother!

Hi Diane, I just now found out about Ray and I am very sad about his passing. I don't know if you remember that we went out on one date back in 1972 or so. I played trumpet for the Royal Selectors and trombone for the American Express. I will never forget the fantastic experiences I had with your brother and the band. We were very close. And my prayers are with you and the family. Wow. I am in shock. Nevertheless, I hope things are going well with you and the family.

To the Torres family I offer my sincere condolences. I knew Ray in the seventies he was an amazing misician and an even better person. Peace be with all of his family and friends at this time.

I have known Ray since Kindergarten and will always have very fond memories of him growing up.   Rainy Day schedules at Valencia were awesome, because we had Ray to entertain us as he played the accordion. His band "The Royal Selectors" were a big part of our teenage years.  He was a gifted and talented Musician and truly one of the nicest guys I have  ever known.  I am grateful to our good friend Al Sanchez as through him I was able to connect with Ray several months ago, after  45 years.  I am so very grateful to his daughters for sharing memories with me when I went to the house earlier this week.

What moves through us now  is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch.  We don't know why he left before anyone was ready to say goodbye, especially his daughters, Mom, Dad, Sisters, Brothers and Grandchildren, but little by little you will begin to remember not just that he died, but that he lived and that his life gave you all memories too beautiful to forget.

There are no eloquent words that I can say that can take away the hurt you feel.  I pray the Lord embrace you and comfort you during this very difficult time. I send you thoughts of peace, prayer and strength for you and your families. I pray the Lord embrace and comfort you during this very sad and difficult time.

Ray Torres, my childhood crush.....May you Rest in Peace and Joy for all Eternity in the arms of our Lord. You will live forever in the hearts of those of us that loved you, therefore you will never be forgotten.  Peace.....

I will always cherish the time I spent with Ray in Thee Royal Selectors and am glad to have spent time with him these last 2 years and I am grateful I was able to play music with him one last time a few weeks ago.

To my nephews, nieces and sister-in-law my sincere condolences to all of you. A great father, brother, son and cousin. My memories with him are to last me a life time. We spent a lot of time chasing him during his musical carreer night club to nightclub. I guess I was his biggest fan. He is in heaven playing his beautiful music.Remember him for he was loved by all.
