Born October 20, 1927 passed away peacefully in his home October 31, 2012. He was born and raised in Los Angeles and at age 17 enlisted in The United States Army. He served his country honorably with tours in World War II and Korea. He married Angelina Carlin October 26, 1950. He was blessed by the birth of his son and only child Raymond Jr. on March 10, 1951. He made a living as a furniture manufacturing foreman for nearly 40 years. He was a resident of Pico Rivera and an active parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Church for over 50 years. He is survived by his son Raymond Castañon Jr. His sisters Esther and Rachel, his brothers Arthur and Ernie 3 Grandchildren 10 Great Grandchildren 4 Great Great Grandchildren and many Nieces and Nephews. Raymond was loved and respected by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
