

Richard was born in El Paso, Texas on November 30, 1931, to Thomas and Guadalupe Cerecedes. Richard was the 8th child in a family of 13.
Richard's family was everything to him. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great- great grandfather. Richard was always ready to listen and be there for any family member or anyone else that needed him.
Richard worked as a project manager of a radar systems company. He retired after 40 years.
Richard loved to read, ride his bike, and run. He ran several marathons and his last one was at the age of 70. Richard also read every night before bed.
Richard had a very strong faith and was very involved at St. Hilary Church. He taught confirmation, was a Eucharistic Minister, and was a member of the Perpetual Adoration Society.
Richard met his wife Louise, of 75 years, when he moved on to her neighborhood block. They were married on August 19, 1950.
Richard is survived by his loving wife Louise and their 5 children: Irene, John, Dolores, Julia, and Jane, and 17 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Richard is also survived by his siblings Lucy, Martha, and Olga.
