

A lifelong resident of Pierre Part, he passed away peacefully in his sleep Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, at Heritage Manor in Napoleonville. He was 79. Alton worked for the State of Louisiana as a bridge operator for 20 years and was a commercial fisherman all his life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace. He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Alton Jr. and Judy Hebert, Andrew and Iva Hebert, Patrick Hebert and Dale Hebert; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy Mercer, Mary and Eddie Cavalier, and Ida and Glen Hebert; 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a brother, Wilbert Hebert Sr. Preceded in death in his wife, Hazel Domingue Hebert; father, Robert Hebert; mother, Alcide Albarado Hebert; sons, Billy and Lynn Hebert; daughter, Linda Hebert; brothers, Wilton and Nolan Hebert; sisters, Ruby Coupel and LeeBee Landry. Visitation will be Friday, August 12, 2011 from 8:00 AM until 10:45 AM at Ourso Funeral Home of Pierre Part. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church of Pierre Part. Burial will follow in the church cemtery.
