Brody Landry, 43, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Though his time here was far too short, he filled his life—and the lives of those around him—with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.
Brody was a devoted father, son, brother, and friend. He had a natural gift for bringing people together, whether it was around a card table, on the golf course, or simply sharing stories and jokes. Known for his quick wit and playful spirit, Brody could always be counted on to crack a joke and make those around him laugh.
He loved to gamble, play cards, and spend time golfing. Brody was very competitive and enjoyed any chance to win, but more than anything he loved the fun, laughter, and friendships that came along with the games he played.
Brody was a driven and hardworking employee of Brown & Root, where he took pride in the work he did and the relationships he built with his coworkers. His determination and strong work ethic were just another reflection of the competitive spirit that defined him.
He is survived by his children, Mia and Tripp Landry and their mother, Misty Landry; parents, Clyde and Brenda Landry; brother, Gavin Landry (Joni), nieces and nephews, Colin, Braxton, Parker and Marilyn, and grandmother, Lucy Vaughn. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Odette Landry and his maternal grandfather, Russell Vaughn. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will miss his laughter, his jokes, and the joy he brought to every room.
The family requests that a visitation be observed on Saturday, March 14, 2026 from 9:30 am-1:00 pm with a prayer service officiated by Pastor Joe Sedotal beginning at 1:00 pm all at Ourso Funeral Home, Pierre Part Louisiana. Following services Brody will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Belle River Louisiana.
Serving as pallbearers are Gavin Landry, Casey Dugas, Blaine Mabile, Jacob Landry, Ray Mabile, Duffy “Bubba” Landry, Travis Ponville, Daine LeBlanc, Ross Campesi and Dustin LaCour. Honorary pallbearers are Tripp Landry, Braxton Landry, Parker Landry and Colin Smith.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Mo Al Efishat and his medical team, Hospice of Baton Rouge, and Ross Campesi of Brown and Root.
Brody will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
