Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, son, brother, and friend. To say he was a good man would be an understatement, he was an extraordinary man who acted like an ordinary one. Charles’s life was a testament to his unwavering faith. He was a devout Catholic who dedicated his existence to serving God and embodying the teachings of Jesus. His actions were consistently guided by his unshakable belief, inspiring those around him to live with purpose and grace. His remarkable ability to uplift and inspire those he encountered was unparalleled. Charles enjoyed riding through his community, fishing, carpenter work, joking, visiting and caring for anyone in need. He always put the needs of his family before his own. He was a faithful voter and an avid supporter of President Donald J. Trump, often times wearing his MAGA hat.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his five children, Elson Templet (Sarah), Debbie Comeaux (Bobby), Wendy Hebert (Ronald), Charles Templet Jr. (Vianna) and Tom Templet Sr. (Patti) and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Louise Aucoin Templet; four grandchildren, Ronnie Paul Hebert, Ryan Paul Templet, Andrea Noel Templet and Jason Mark Comeaux; one great grandchild, Katherine Dupre; parents, Robert "Paul" and Adelene "Blanche" Porche Templet and four siblings, Rita Metrejean, Alvin Templet, Theresa Simoneaux and Gaulbert Templet.
The family would like to thank his amazing caregiver, Dana "DENA" Cambre who became family, and Callie, Jimmy and Cathy with Cardinal Hospice.
A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part, LA, on Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 8am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
