Chester Paul Gaspard

Chester Paul Gaspard, 93, died on Friday, November 22, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was a native and resident of Belle River. He retired after, 25years of service, as a Crane Operator with Shell Oil. He also owned and operated Gaspard Groceries. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 251 Donaldsonville. His favorite hobbies were hunting, fishing, and gardening.

Chester is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Flavia Gaudet Gaspard; two sons and daughters-in-law, Horace J. and Debra Domingue Gaspard, and Grady P. and Darlene Sedotal Gaspard; four grandchildren, Lori Gaspard Leonard and husband Bryan J., Trudy Gaspard Domingue and husband Terry, Chet E. Gaspard and wife Ashley, Jamie Gaspard Marino and husband, Eric A.; and seven great grandchildren, Kassi Ann Leonard, Lacey Lin Gaspard, Josh Adam Domingue, Kailey Rae Gaspard, Tanner Lee Gaspard, Ayden Allen Marino, and Kynlee Rose Marino.

Preceded in death by his father, Elton Gaspard, mother, Rosa Triche Gaspard; one uncle, Adam Triche; three aunts, Evaline Triche Mayon, Ilene Gaspard Hebert, and Iren Gaspard Lambert.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. – 1:45 p.m. at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church hall in Pierre Part. Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Belle River.
