A native and lifelong resident of Pierre Part, Edith Mabile Boudreaux, 79, passed away peacefully in her home on April 5, 2015 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a dedicated member of Landry-Domingue post 328 Ladies Auxiliary and was an avid supporter and Partner In Hope of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Milton Moise Boudreaux; daughters and sons-in-law, Judy Boudreaux Theriot and Gordon, Kathy Boudreaux Gaudet and Carl; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenny Boudreaux and Tammy, Mark Boudreaux and Lena; grandchildren, Dusty Theriot Landry and husband Ted, Nicole Boudreaux Castagnos and husband Brian, Joey Theriot and wife Erin, Chelsea Gaudet Miles and husband Christopher, Brandon Boudreaux and wife Tera, Stephanie Boudreaux and Chase Mabile, Jenni Boudreaux and Trevor Falcon, and Juli Boudreaux; great-grandchildren, Haylie and Hagen Landry, Brynlee Boudreaux, Sara and Emily Castagnos, Allie and Jacob Theriot, Brayden Albarado, Keegan Boudreaux, Daxx Mabile and Adalyn Miles; sisters and brothers-in-law, Vivian Cavalier and Sidney, Mary Acosta and Jerome; brother, Phillip Mabile; numerous nieces, nephews and loving friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ada Blanchard and Joseph Mabile Sr.; sisters, Verna Berthelot and Delta Boudreaux; brothers, Eugene Mabile, Sr. Joseph Mabile Jr.; father and mother-in-law, Richard and Violet Boudreaux; brothers-in-law, Roland Boudreaux and Steve Berthelot; sisters-in-law, Helen Boudreaux Guillot, Eve Aucoin Mabile, Marina Albarado Boudreaux, and Audrey Albarado Mabile; and nieces, Tracy Mabile and Jackie Guillot Blanchard. Visitation will be at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part, Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at the funeral home Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Following, there will be a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Al Davidson, celebrant. Entombment will be in the church mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Gordon Theriot, Carl Gaudet, Kenny Boudreaux, Mark Boudreaux, Joey Theriot, Brandon Boudreaux, James “Jimmy” Boudreaux, Michael Berthelot, and Hagen Landry. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
