Edward Joseph Cavalier Sr.

Edward was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

A true outdoorsman at heart, Edward found peace and happiness in nature. Whether casting a line into the water or crawfishing. He enjoyed swinging on his swing either on the wharf or his front porch. His most unforgettable times were spent cutting up and making jokes with his special daughters and granddaughters.

His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him, and in the stories, laughter, and memories he leaves behind.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his seven children, Margret Cavalier, Sterling Cavalier, Edward Cavalier Jr., Diane Sanchez, Daniel Cavalier, Roseann Cavalier and Loretta Cavalier; sixteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren and his two sisters, Dorothy “Mary” Morgan and Dora Landry.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Angeline Cavalier and siblings.

Pallbearers will be: Broox Gaspard, James Cavalier, Ashley Guillory, Jason Sanchez, Lee Hebert and Jace Cavalier. Honorary pallbearers will be: Cedric Cavalier and Gavin Cavalier.

A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part, on Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 1pm. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
