

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. To know Elsie was to love her. She was one of a kind and had a heart of gold. In her early years, Elsie was dedicated to her family always making sure everyone's needs were taken care of. You could often find her crawfishing, fishing, hunting, and camping alongside her husband. Later in life, Elsie enjoyed trips to Walmart, cooking, traveling, music, dancing, and eating at different places. Of all things, Elsie had a passion for her family especially the babies of the family.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her three children, Herman Cavalier (Gail), Norman Cavalier (Tina), and Linda Gaudet (Floyd Sr.); two step children, Norris Cavalier (Barbara) and Ann Cavalier; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; eight siblings, Lucy Daigle, Inez Leonard, Clement Cavalier, Floyd Cavalier, Lloyd Cavalier, N.J. Cavalier, Eddie Cavalier, and Dorothy Morrison; one daughter-in-law, Pat Cavalier; one step son-in-law, Calvin Hebert, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred "Buck" Cavalier; one son, Ronald Cavalier; one step daughter, Doris Hebert; three grandsons, Herman Cavalier Jr., Travis Cavalier, and Danny Cavalier; one great granddaughter, Sienna Cavalier; parents, Joseph Cavalier and Clemence Domingue; three sisters, Lillian Leonard, Thelma Morales, and Edith Cavalier; two brothers, Armand Cavalier Sr. and Hubert Cavalier.

A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part on Friday, September 20, 2024 from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12pm at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
