Felix Paul Gauthreaux

Felix Paul Gauthreaux, 95, a native of Labadieville and resident of Pierre Part, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2016. Felix was a devoted member of the US Army where he was awarded a Purple Heart, which means he was wounded during service. He also was a member of the American Legion and served as an Usher at St Joseph Catholic Church. He is survived by his daughter, Gloria Gauthreaux; three sons, Ray, Ted, and Rodney Gauthreaux; four step daughters, Hortense Sevin, Isabelle Courville, Anna Hebert, and Lucy Mae Bernacheaux; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mercedes Gauthreaux; one sister; and nine brothers. Visitation will be at Ourso Funeral Home, Pierre Part, Thursday, November 3, 2016 from 9am to 10:45am. Mass of Christian burial will be at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Pierre Part, at 11am with Rev. Al Davidson, celebrant. Interment to follow in Church Mausoleum.
