Felix "Phil" Simoneaux Jr.

The great man known to many as “Phil” left a void in this world when he passed away on October 20, 2016. He was a man who never met a stranger and loved his family tremendously. He also enjoyed riding horses, hunting, coaching baseball, dancing, good food, the casino, cards, and camping. He was 75, born in Donaldsonville, native of Brusly St. Martin and resident of Pierre Part. Phil was born to parents, Felix Sr. and Vivian Charlet Simoneaux. Phil leaves behind the love of his life Rosemary Trepagnier Simoneaux, who shared 55 great years together. He is also survived by his daughter, Yvette Simoneaux Landry and husband, Jerry, sons, Felix “Phil” Simoneaux III and wife, Linda, Charles Anthony Simoneaux and wife, Kathy, and Wayne Michael Simoneaux and girlfriend, Donna, and Sheila Scioneaux Bourque, who Phil considered his second daughter; brothers, Huey P. Simoneaux Sr. and wife, Katie, and Kenneth D. Simoneaux and wife, Teetsie; 8 grandchildren, Felix IV “Lil Phil” and wife, Ashley, Chet, Marissa, and Bailey Simoneaux, Jerilyn and husband, Andy Gros, Jeremy and wife, Cherie Landry, Jordan, and Alexis Landry; 7 great grandchildren, Adyson, Felix V “Kade”, and Rhett Simoneaux, Anna-Marie, Andi-Lyn Gros, Alex and Maxx Landry; sisters in law, Virgie T. LeBlanc and husband, Andrew Sr. and Bobbe Gene Trepagnier; brother in law, Raymond Blanchard; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Vivian Charlet Simoneaux; grandson, Jade Michael Landry; sister, Carolyn S. Blanchard; brother, Honore Simoneaux; brother in law, Anthony Trepagnier; and mother and father in law, Charles and Mary Falsetta Trepagnier. Visiting will be at the Brusly St. Martin Chapel on Monday, October 24, 2016 from 9 am until Mass of Christian Burial at noon. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
