

Floyd was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He was a retired Boat Captain with more than fifty years of service. Floyd enjoyed camping, crawfishing, crabbing, listening to music and watching LSU and Saints Football. Of all things, Floyds most proud memories were made with his family.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his five daughters, Brenda Cavalier (Carl), Barbara Cavalier, Lillian "Missy" Cavalier, Loretta C. Domingue (Clark) and Brandy C. Burrell (Jeremy); ten grandchildren, Tammy D. Carbo (Nesta), Kevin Domingue (Enjolie), Kipp Domingue, Devin Lang, Lucas Lang (Morgan), Kobi Domingue (Jessika), Kortney Domingue (Jordan), Kolton Domingue (Shelbi), Nevaeh Metrejean and Benjamin Burrell; fifteen great grandchildren,Trevor Daigle (Brittney), Tressi Daigle (Cole), Trista Daigle, Kaleb Domingue, Brittany B. Matte, Dravin Domingue, Lucas Lang Jr., Lauryn Lang, Kamille Domingue, Kambrie Domingue, Khai Domingue, Knox Domingue, Tayden, Baleigh, Kasen Domingue; five great great grandchildren, Cadon and Madison Coupel, Kynley Daigle and Xander and seven siblings, Lucy Daigle, Inez Leonard, Lloyd Cavalier, Clement Cavalier, NJ Cavalier, Eddie Cavalier and Mary Cavalier.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Alice A. Cavalier; three grandchildren, Elray Domingue, Jeremy Metrejean and Taylor Burrell; one great grandchild, Izaiah Prejean; parents, Dominique and Clemence Cavalier; six siblings, Lillian Leonard, Thelma Morales, Edith Cavalier, Armand Cavalier Sr., Hubert Cavalier and Elsie Cavalier and one son-in-law, Calvin Domingue.
A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part, LA, on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 from 8:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
