

Floyd was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He was a devout Catholic who cherished his faith and loved the Lord. Floyd was a family man and was passionate about sharing old memories and telling stories. He also enjoyed racing his race car, hunting in his younger days and running catfish pipes.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of forty five years, Janice Mabile Rivere; grandson who was like a son, Danny Joseph LeBlanc; one daughter, Rachel Theriot (Jody); three step sons, Chad LeBlanc, Todd LeBlanc (Jessica) and Kevin LeBlanc (Betsy); five grandchildren, Chance Theriot, Heather Galbraith, Stephen LeBlanc, Jacob LeBlanc and Reed LeBlanc; five great grandchildren, Sarah, Ava, Charlie, Nicholas and Alexandria and three siblings, Philip “Lobe” Rivere Jr., Mary Mabile and Marlene Templet.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Philip Rivere Sr. and Marie Adele Landry Rivere and his two siblings, Morris Rivere and Maudry Hebert.
A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part, on Friday, June 6, 2025, from 8am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Interment to follow in the church mausoleum.
