Freddie Joseph Metrejean Sr.

He enjoyed hunting. fishing. gardening and piddling with anything and everything but most of all spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Rita Mae Gaspard Metrejean; daughter, Patricia "Trish" Bernuchaux (Todd); son, Freddie Jr.; three step-daughters, Yvonne Duval (Daniel), Deborah Cavalier (Edward) and Patricia Cortez (Jimbo); two step-sons, Mark Domingue (Noble) and Johnny Domingue (Heidi); brother, Leonie; two grandchildren, Ty Bernuchaux (Sydney) and Cassey Bernuchaux Silva (Marcos); twenty-one step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, Gabriella Ave Maria Silva, Ana Julia Sophia Silva and Ana Laura Abigail Silva; thirty-eight step great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ceasar and Gertie Gaudet Metrejean; his twin sister, Fannie Hebert, Nora Coupel, Vitus Metrejean and Marcella Joseph; two step-daughters, Gloria Garner and Rosemary Domingue; and great-great granddaughter, Blakely Reece Cavalier.

The pallbearers will be Ty Bernuchaux, Marcos Silva, James Cavalier, Jace Cavalier, Blaine Oubre, Talon Duval and honorary pallbearer Mark Domingue.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 from 9:00 am at Ourso Funeral Home until the Mass of Christian Burial for 11:30 am at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Pierre Part. Burial to follow at Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery. Father Al Davidson will officiate.
