

Harold Joseph Aucoin, Sr., age 88, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 6:24 p.m., surrounded by his family.
A lifelong resident of Pierre Part, Harold dedicated much of his life to working as a commercial fisherman and as a business owner to the “Country Club.” He was a hardworking provider who believed in taking care of his family above all else.
He was married to Maudry Ann Breaux Aucoin for 65 years, and together they built a beautiful family that became his greatest pride and accomplishment.
He is survived by his wife, Maudry Aucoin; his three sons, Harold Aucoin, Jr., Jason Aucoin (Laurie Campo Aucoin), and Gerard Aucoin (Stephanie Perera Aucoin); and his three daughters, Kim Aucoin, Tina Aucoin (Travis Ponville), and Crystal Aucoin. He is also survived by his sister, Velma Aucoin Lovell (James Lovell).
Harold was blessed with nine grandchildren: Eric Pipsair (Ashlyn Comeaux Pipsair), Aaron Aucoin (Kaitlyn Burras Aucoin), Jessica Aucoin Brown (Michael Brown), Brooke Aucoin Guillot (Blaine Guillot), Codi Deaton, Clair Barbier, Bailee Landry, Carson Landry, and Caley Delatte. His grandchildren brought him immense joy and were a constant source of pride throughout his life. He was further blessed with eleven great-grandchildren: Ella Pipsair, Elijah Pipsair, Amelia Pipsair, Amberlee Pipsair, Eleanor Aucoin, Rayli Brown, Riggs Brown, Beckham Guillot, Benton Guillot, Brighton Guillot, and Nixon Deaton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Aucoin and Octavie Cavalier Aucoin.
Harold will be remembered for the time he cherished with his family, his steady presence, and his playful sense of humor. He loved sharing stories from his youth, often bringing laughter and smiles to those around him. We are thankful for all of the wonderful memories that we shared with him, and he leaves a space in our hearts that cannot be filled.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 for 9:30 am at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part with a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. Father Al Davidson will officiate.
