

Harry was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He worked for many years as a bridge tender at the Pierre Part Bridge with the Department of Transportation. Harry took great pride in his work and built lasting relationships with members of the community.
In addition to his work on the bridge, Harry was skilled in welding and enjoyed fishing in his spare time. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, crawfishing, crabbing, and gardening. Harry was also an outstanding cook who took pride in the meals he made.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his two daughters, Nancy Charlet (Darren) and Patty Aucoin; three grandchildren, Austin, Krista and Gracie Charlet; four siblings, Donald Aucoin (Helen), Davis Aucoin (Trudy), Mabel Pipsair (Douglas) and Lois Hebert; one brother-in-law, Walter Landry (Carolyn) and his sister-in-law, Leona Aucoin.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Morales Aucoin; his parents, Walter and Essie Aucoin; six siblings, Mary Borne, Ann Landry, Winnie Landry, Weldey Aucoin, Roy Aucoin and Joe Aucoin; three brothers-in-law, Aldwyn Hebert, Norris Borne and Percy Landry and his two sisters-in-law, Shirley Aucoin and Delores Aucoin.
The family would like to thank the Pierre Part First Responders, The entire staff at Thibodaux Regional Hospital, St. Joseph Hospice and Thibodaux Regional Home health for their care and support throughout their time of need.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part, LA, from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12pm at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
