He was a loving father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many. He was a quiet man who loved to laugh, spend time with his family and visiting friends. He especially enjoyed camping, driving around in his truck to no particular destination and sharing his memories of when he was stationed in Alaska. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He is survived by five daughters, Mary (Henry), Sheila (Bryce), Bonnie (Warren), Rachel (John) and Heather; one son, Lyndon (Tommye); two sisters, Helen and Hilda; two brothers, Irvin, Sr., and Earl; twenty-one grandchildren, Celeste, Ciara, Lance, Tommy “TJ”, Jr., Mark, Willie, Seth, Jerome, Chad, Victoria, Stewart, Hunter, Victoria, Whitney, Ashley, Chelsey, Jessica, Jalen, Haley, Dylan, and Tannie; twenty-six great grandchildren, Toryn, Darian, Carson, Damon, Lance, Jr., Lailey, Aiden, Mya, Tesla, Alexis, Destanie, Braedyn, Trevor, Kylan, Bentley, Gunner, Reece, Hayes, Alaina, Brettney, Lori, Garrett, Jayden, Oaklyn, Brantley, and Carson. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marie and Herbert Breaux, Sr.; four brothers, Jeffery, Floyd, Clabert, and Herbert, Jr.; and one daughter, Juanita. The family would like to give a very special thanks for the many years of friendship, comfort and support to Shelby Gaudet and to Tommye Richard for her loving care during the final months of his life. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 at New Covenant Community Church in Pierre Part at 8:00 am until the funeral services to begin at 11:00 am.
