

Herman Joseph Cavalier ("T-Herm") was born in Paincourtville, LA, February 11, 1951. He was a lifelong resident of Pierre Part, LA and went home to be with our Lord and Savior on June 18, 2025 at 7 p.m. at the age of 74 surrounded by his loving family in the home that he built with his own hands.
"T-Herm" was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, cousin, and friend. He never met a stranger. He loved his family and friends wholeheartedly. Herman was a proud commercial fisherman for a good part of his life and loved to carry on the family traditions of living off of the land where he learned from his father. He was also an avid hunter and proud board member of the Pierre Part Hunting Club for many years. Herman worked in the construction industry for many companies including McDermonth, Settoons, and the most recent, Performance, where he ended his career retiring as a Piping Supervisor. "T-Herm" was also a proud business owner of "T-Herms's Good Eatin'" restaurant and "T-Herm's Lakeview Inn" bar. He had a strong passion for cooking, dancing, drinking, socializing with his customers, family, and friends. Herman was a huge sports fan and loved cheering on his beloved LSU Tigers, New Orleans Saints, New Orleans Pelicans, Assumption Mustangs, and the Pierre Part Bulldogs.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Gail A. Cavalier. Three daughters, Stacy Daigle (Ryan), Christy Bailey-Cavalier (Arlene), Cindy Cavalier (Tony Coupel). Two sons, Percy "T-Boy" Cavalier (Christina) and Tony Cavalier. Seven grandchildren, Brittany Daigle, Brooke DeMaria (Trent), Hallie Cavalier, Kaya Saurage, Kinsley Cavalier, Katelyn Cavalier, and Remi Coupel. Two great-grandchildren, Dreyson and Cali DeMaria. Two sisters, Ann Cavalier and Linda Gaudet (Floyd). Two brothers Norris Cavalier (Barbara), Norman Cavalier (Tina), one sister in-law, Patrica Cavalier, and one brother-in-law, Calvin Hebert. He was proceeded in death by his parents Wilfred "Buck" and Elsie Cavalier. A son, Herman Cavalier Jr. One sister, Doris Hebert, and one brother, Ronald Cavalier. Mother and Father in law, Percy and Carrie Albarado.
Visitation will be held on June 26, 2025 from 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. and will resume on June 27, 2025 at 8:00a.m. at Ourso Funeral Home, Pierre Part, LA followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church at 12:00p.m. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. Father Al Davidson will officiate.
