

Ivan was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.
He was a selfless man who always placed the needs of others above his own. Known for his generous heart, Ivan never hesitated to help anyone in need.
An avid outdoorsman, he found joy in camping, fishing, hunting, and crawfishing. He proudly coached softball and played the game himself as a child. In his spare time, Ivan loved "running the roads," recycling copper wire, and tending to his garden.
A dedicated and hardworking welder, Ivan spent many years with Boh Bros. and Local 198. His strong work ethic and commitment to his craft left a lasting impact.
Ivan’s legacy is one of love, service, and strength. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of sixty-four years, Ilane Daigle Bernuchaux; four children, Melissa Gautreau, Penny Leonard, Ivan Bernuchaux Jr. (Jean) and Kimbeli Bernuchaux (Rene); six grandchildren, Leslie Gautreau (Jordan), Tad Gautreau (Kate), Taylor Eschete (Ross), Courtney Leonard, Kaitlyn Gros (Taylor) and Pierson Bernuchaux (Camryn); five great grandchildren, Jayden Gautreau, Ridge Eschete, River Hillen, Sarah Breaux (Chandler) and baby Bernuchaux; two sisters, Doris Friloux and Katheline Daigle and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alton Sr. and Honorine Breaux Bernuchaux; two brothers, Dalton Bernuchaux and Alton Bernuchaux Jr. and one son-in-law, Robert “Bobby” Leonard.
