He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, cooking, and watching his beloved LSU and Saints. JB was always ready to tell a good story and make those around him laugh; he was the life of the party. He unconditionally gave his time and love, and helped anyone he could when given the chance. He had the kindest and purest heart, and he never met a stranger. He leaves behind a huge imprint on the hearts of those he loved.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carmen Fuselier; two daughters, Shawna Steib (James) and Christy Blanchard (Brent); four grandchildren, Jordan Steib (Morgan), Erica Steib, Macie Kindell and Jayson Kindell; three great-grandchildren, Alana Lirette, Jude Lirette and AnnClaire Steib; two brothers, JD Fuselier (Betty) and Horace Michel; four sisters, Anna Belle Broussard, Debra May (Lawney), Gail Bailey (Mike) and Bonnie Acosta (Lenny); along with a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded by his parents, Bernadette and John "JB" Fuselier; son, Alan Fuselier; and his brother, Dudley Michel.
The family would like to give special thanks to St. Tammany Parish Hospital and Hope Hospice for their care and compassion.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial for 12:00 pm at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Plattenville. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. Father Al Davidson will be officiating.
