To have known her was to love her. A loving person and friend to all, she entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 1:26 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. She was 67, resident of Pierre Part and native of Paincourtville. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Pierre Part. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Edward “E.J.” Alleman Jr. Devoted to her husband, she was his strength and support throughout his political years, 1975-1993. She spent countless hours assisting him in helping him meet the needs of the community. A dedicated mother always, she leaves behind a son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Shelia Alleman; daughters and sons-in-law, Monique and Scott Settoon, Danielle Alleman, and Stephanie and Gregg Sedotal. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Shanon, Scott “Lil Scott,” Gabrielle, and Hunter Settoon, Taylor Dill and spouse Audra, Kinlee Benoit, and Devin Sedotal; and great grandchildren, Dylan and Spencer Hebert. She is also survived by her mother, Adeline Giroir Simoneaux; sisters and brother-in-law, Elaine and Lynn Johnson, Susan Grier; and mother-in-law, Edna Alleman. She is preceded in death by her father, Joseph “Pete” Simoneaux; brother, Joseph “Petey” Simoneaux Jr.; and father-in-law, Edward Alleman Sr. There will be a visitation at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Paincourtville, Tuesday, April 9, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Andrew Merrick, celebrant. Entombment will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shane Alleman, Taylor Dill, Scott Settoon, Scott “Lil Scott” Settoon Jr., Gregg Sedotal, and Devin Sedotal.
