Leo was a loving brother, stepfather, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend. For eighteen years, he worked as a guard and boiler man at the Lula Sugar Mill. Later, he served as a Bridge Tender on the Pierre Part Bridge for twenty-seven years, a role he was deeply passionate about and truly loved.
A man of deep faith, Leo prayed daily and lived his life guided by prayer and gratitude. In his spare time, Leo enjoyed fishing, hunting squirrels and pool-do, and going out to eat with family and friends. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was known for his jokes and storytelling, always bringing laughter and joy to those around him. Of all things, Leo was most joyous when he was hosting family gatherings.
Leo will be remembered for his dedication, his warmth, and the light he brought to every life he touched.
