

He was a veteran who served in the United States Army where he was stationed in Italy. He later became an operator in the oil industry for over twenty-five years.
He enjoyed traveling to New Orleans Saints football games, family vacations, fishing, having coffee with "his fans" at Stazione's and especially spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mary Ann Charlet Aucoin; three daughters, Rachel Lawson of Prairieville, Louisiana, Trinell Burkhart (Cary Joe) of Midland, Texas and Rona White (Chance) of New Orleans, Louisiana; two brothers, Lloyd Aucoin (Jane) and Hubert Aucoin (Alicia); six grandchildren, Kyle Lawson of Gonzales, Louisiana, Jena Rogers (Jacob) and Cary Joe Jr. Burkhart of Midland, Texas, Ian, Ava and Ella White of New Orleans, Louisiana; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dalbert and Lillian Aucoin; son, Lynn Aucoin; seven siblings, John Aucoin, Helen Gaspard, Eve Mabile, Lucy Charlet, Belle Deloney, Allie Breaux and Albert Aucoin.
The pallbearers will be Cary Joe Burkhart, Chance White, Jacob Rogers, Kyle Lawson, Cary Joe Burkhart, Jr., and Ian White.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff of St. Joseph Hospice in Thibodaux for their care and compassion.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 9:00 am at Ourso Funeral Home until the Mass of Christian Burial for 11:00 am at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Pierre Part. Interment to follow in the church mausoleum. Father Al Davidson will be officiating.
