Leonard was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle. He spent many years working as a welder for several companies and later retired from Southcoast Fab, where he was a respected supervisor. Leonard found joy in life’s simple moments and could often be found sitting outside or piddling around the house. Above all else, his greatest joy came from time spent with his family. His most treasured memories were made with those he loved most, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who held a very special place in his heart.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of fifty-five years, Priscilla Leonard Scully; three children, Blaine Scully Sr. (Lorraine), Stacy Alleman (Chad) and Tracy Lawes (Bill); seven grandchildren, Blaine Scully Jr., Kaitlyn Lawes (David), Zachary Alleman (Gina), Brice Scully, Colby Alleman, Kollin Lawes and Blade Scully and his four great grandchildren, Braylie Scully, Maxton Scully, Julian Garcia and Magnolia Scully.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Sr. “Yan” and Margie Daigle Scully and his two siblings, Lana Martin and Timmy Scully.
A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part, LA, on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 8:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church at 11am. Burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Belle River, LA.
