Maggie Metrejean Foret, 77, a resident of Pierre Part, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2018. Maggie was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Maggie was a devoted Catholic who had a passion for praying the rosary. She enjoyed joking, cooking, dancing, music, eating Chinese food, receiving food from family and friends and trips to Walmart with her children and Dana. She also loved when her son would come over to fix things for her around the house. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her three daughters, Vianna Templet (Charles Jr.), Melina Mabile (Lenson Jr.) and Kimberly Vasquez (Shannon); one son, Albert Foret Jr.; fifteen grandchildren, Kelly Blanchard, Kellie, April and Liza Templet, Miranda, Spencer, Kaitlin and Maddison Chedotal, Susan and Sophia Mabile, Tyler and Karli Montero, Clint, Cody and Summer Foret; eleven great grandchildren, Talon, Kiley, Brittney, Anna, Koby, Daxx, Brye, Victoria, Porter, Gabrielle and Orion. She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert “Doo” Foret Sr.; parents, Nicholas and Louise Guillot Metrejean; seven siblings, Claude, Alvin, Rand, Annie, Frances, Mae and Louetta. The family would like to thank her special care giver Dana Cambre and her neighbors who took care of her by bringing her food, cutting her grass and always being there when needed. Donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital. Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from 6pm until 10pm and will resume on Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 8am until Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church at 11am. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
