Mark was a native of Pierre Part and resident of Belle River. Those who knew Mark, knew that he was a man of few words and profound routine. He was quiet but thoughtful, dedicated and calm, and was a familiar face in the hearts of many. Through his career, Mark was a Sr Piping Design Coordinator at Avondale and Jacobs Engineering, retiring after 46 years. He dedicated several years to the Belle River Volunteer Fire Department and could be seen behind the plate as an umpire for LHSAA baseball and softball games. In his younger years Mark was a musician, playing drums and harmonica on the stage with The Nue Sound Band or on the porch at the camp. Mark’s family and friends always knew how much he loved them by his simple gestures’ day to day, his signature waves passing on the road, and quick-witted phrases that will stay in hearts forever.
