

Mark was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. To know Mark was to love him. He never met a stranger. His remarkable sense of humor and infectious laughter could light up any room, and he always knew just how to bring a smile to those around him. Mark lived life with warmth, kindness, and a genuine spirit that left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He was a hardworking man who took pride in his work, spending many years as a Millwright at Eastman Chemical. Mark was an avid hunter and fisherman who found peace and joy outdoors. He was also proud to have served in the Army.
Above all, Mark cherished time spent with his family. His most treasured moments were those shared with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren, who brought him great joy and pride. His legacy of love, strength, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of forty-five years, Paula Crochet Giroir; three daughters, Michelle Vaughn (Jaron); Lori Turner (Trent) and Brandi Landry (Blaze); five grandchildren, Kohen Sanchez, Luke Vaughn, Jake Vaughn, Annie Turner and London Landry and his two sisters, Audrey Giroir and Veranda Weber.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Annie Blanchard Giroir and his two sisters, Virgie Aucoin and Janet Richard.
A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part, LA, on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 8am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12pm at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Mausoleum in Belle River, LA.
