Mazie Pipsair Giroir

Mazie Pipsair Giroir, 85, a native of Belle River and resident of Pierre Part, LA, went to be with her heavenly father on Tuesday, March 23, 2021. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Mazie was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and numerous other organizations. She had a passion for helping others and her community. Mazie adored her family and never met a stranger. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her two children, Melinda LeBlanc (Emile) and Errol Giroir (Susana); three grandchildren, Amy LeBlanc, Todd LeBlanc (Abby), and Cynthia Ramirez (Jonathan Sr.); five great grandchildren, Rylie Klack, Luke LeBlanc, Beau LeBlanc, Jayden Ramirez, and Jonathan Ramirez Jr.; three brothers, Chester Pipsair, Joseph Pipsair (Laura Nell), and Robert Pipsair Jr. (Ruby). She is preceded in death by her husband, Alexander “Alex” Giroir; parents, Robert Sr. and Philomena Leonard Pipsair; two brothers, John Pipsair Sr., (Lucy) and Percy Pipsair (Lou Annie), and sister-in-law, Lula Mae Pipsair. The family would like to thank Bayou Home Health and Journey Hospice for the medical support given to our mother. We would also like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the caregivers who showed compassion, comfort, and assistance which allowed our mother to live out her life in the comfort of her home. Pallbearers will be: Todd LeBlanc, Joey Pipsair, Craig Pipsair, Brent Pipsair, Jeremy Pipsair, and Lance Bernuchaux. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 26, 2021 from 8:30am until 10:45am at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11am at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Interment in the church mausoleum.
