Odette Aucoin Miller

Odette was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Her family was the center of her world, and her most treasured moments were those spent surrounded by the ones she loved, especially her grandchildren, who brought her endless joy.

In her spare time, Odette found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She loved cooking for her family, sewing with care and creativity, and occasionally trying her luck at the casino. Her warmth, strength, and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Odette was a caretaker who always put the needs of others before her own. Her children admired her caretaking skills when their father was ill and saw how unselfishly Odette cared for him.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her three children, Pat Miller (Debbie), Dinah Blanchard (Horace) and Fred Miller (Phyllis); seven grandchildren, Chad Miller (Dawn), Jason Miller (Melissa), Jenna Comeaux (Kevin), Sarah Blanchard (Denny), Torie Blanchard, Amber Noviello (Joe) and Blaislee Miller; fourteen great grandchildren, Dylan Giroir, Austin Miller, Sydney Miller, Dakota Miller, Lexi Miller, Mikaela Comeaux, Addisyn Comeaux, Rayden Blanchard, Anna Kate Blanchard, Eli Blanchard, Elizabeth Noviello, Joseph Noviello, Gracyn Aucoin and Gavin Daigle; four great-great grandchildren, Chevy Giroir, Nevaeh Giroir, Charlotte Miller and Iris Miller and one sister, Linda Templet.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Miller; parents, Joseph and Angelina Leonard Aucoin; one grandchild, Randi Cedotal; one godchild, Jonathan Templet and four brothers, Laurie Aucoin, Shelby Aucoin Sr., Newton “York” Aucoin and Sterling Aucoin.

The family would like to thank Hope Hospice and her caretakers, Gloria Landry, Danielle Landry, Korie Himel, Tina Guillory, Audrey Landry, Carley Blanchard and Teresita Oliver for their care and support throughout their time of need.

A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part, LA, on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Belle River, LA.
