

Patrick R. Wilson was born December 13,1954 in San Francisco, California. Patrick grew up in Milpitas, California. He traveled in his early twenties and eventually settled in Morgan City, Louisiana where he worked in the oil industry and met his wife of 44 years. He was a resident of Pierre Part, La for 41 years where he and his wife raised their two daughters. Patrick went home to be with our Lord and Savior on August 1, 2025 at the age of 70 surrounded by his loving family in his home.
As a young boy, Pat discovered the gift of song and music. There were many occasions he was asked to “jam” with bands where he would sing, play harmonica, and acoustic guitar. He enjoyed spending time in his studio where he recorded and played music with his beloved friends. Along with music, Patrick had a deep appreciation of nature. Whether hunting, boating, or simply spending time in the mountains or the bayous, he enjoyed the great outdoors. Patrick was charismatic and cherished people. He loved deeply and was always willing to extend a helping hand to those in need. He was a member of the U.S. Merchant Mariners and Come, Lord Jesus bible study group.
Patrick is survived by his wife Debra O. Wilson, two daughters, Christina “Tina” Cavalier(T-Boy), Erica Charlet(Nick), one sister Shelley McCartney (Ed), one brother Michael T. Wilson(Donna), step-mother Regine Wilson, five grandchildren, Kinsley Cavalier, Zachary Charlet, Lani Charlet, Katelyn Cavalier, and John Patrick Charlet. He was proceeded in death by his grandparents Roland and Ella Wilson, mother, Louann Meeks Wilson, father Ward Wilson, brother Ted Wilson, sisters Joan Steffen and Julie Carll. Mother and Father in law, Johnny and Velma Oufnac.
A memorial will be held on Friday, August 8th from 9:00am – 11:00am at Ourso Funeral Home, Pierre Part, La followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church at 11:00am. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. Father Al Davidson will officiate.
The family would like to express their gratitude for everyone’s prayers and thoughtfulness during this difficult time. The family would also like to thank all those who provided care and support during Patrick’s illness.
