Raphael was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was a simple man who enjoyed life and found happiness in the things he loved. An avid outdoorsman, Raphael enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also had a love for music and enjoyed playing the keyboard.
He is survived by his three children, Trent Blanchard, Cody Blanchard (Lacey) and Zachary Blanchard (Brittany); two grandchildren, Camdyn and Madilyn Blanchard and his six siblings, Mary Toups, Willie Blanchard, Lynn Blanchard, Darren Blanchard, Steven “Pete” Blanchard and Octave “O.J.” Blanchard.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Angeline Blanchard and his baby sister, Madelyn Blanchard.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part, LA, from 9AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Belle River, LA.
