Ridley Guillot, age 73, born February 9, 1939 in Pierre Part and a resident of Brusly, for 32 years, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 13, 2013 around 6:00 AM. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 54 years, Anna Marie (Ann) -Perera; surviving children and spouses include: Vanessa Guillot Frick (Wesley) of New Braunfels, TX, Melissa Guillot Smith (Deacon Sean) of Knoxville, TN, and one son, Duane Guillot (Kimberly) of California; five grandchildren: Matthew and Timothy Hartline, Garrett Guillot, and Riley and Keegan Smith; three great-grandchildren, Kyleigh, Jayden, and Jordan Guillot; two sisters, Mandy Blanchard and Maudry Ann Hebert(Richard); 3 brothers, Albruge (Dora), Elmo (Mary Anne), and Russell (Barbara) Guillot; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends, as well as Ann & Ridley’s loving puppies, Tootie and Corky.
Ridley is a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, mentor, and friend. As a devout Catholic, he had a strong personal faith in Christ that shaped his devotion and community service. Ridley worked for Dow Chemical for 32 years, taught electrical maintanence at ABC and Baton Rouge Vocational Training, and worked various temporary jobs as an electrician.
Predeceased by: Parents, Noah Ursin and Victorine Aucoin Guillot of Pierre Part, brothers, Melton, Isidore, Jerry, and Frank Guillot; and sisters, Eugenie and Emmalie Guillot.
Organizations/Education: Graduate of Assumption High School, Napoleonville, LA; Lifetime member 3rd Degree night, Council 10744; 4th degree Knight, Council 1664; Faithful Navigator for the Knights of Columbus, Brusly, LA for 7 years; Devout Manresa Team Captain for Group 29-C, Retreatant, and Board Member; Served on the Assumption Parish Police Jury; Member of the South Central Planning Commission; Bell Committee; Brusly Town Council; and Alter Boy for daily masses his entire life.
Interests include: RV camping, camp time in Belle River, working in his shop, and helping others. Ridley and Ann have been active members of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Brusly, LA.

Visitation will be at St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Brusly, Thursday evening, Jan 17 from 5 until 8PM and Friday, January 18th from 10:00 AM until funeral services at 12 noon conducted by Father Matt Dupre, Father Matt Lorrain, Fr. David Boettner, Father Jim Mathis, Deacons Sean Smith and Sammy Collura. Interment will follow in St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church Cemetery in Pierre Part at 3:00 p.m. Funeral flowers will be provided by the family.
