

Ronald was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in fishing, hunting, and riding boats. Ronald spent several years working as a welder and performing electrical work for BASF. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family—those moments meant the most to him.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Laura Ackman Barbier; two sons, Robert “Bobby” Barbier (Liz) and Charles “Charlie” Barbier; one daughter-in-law. Pauline Barbier; seven grandchildren, Cody Rivere (Amy), Courtney Rivere (Justin), Hali Barbier (Brody), Christopher Rivere (Kandi), Conner Barbier, Peyton Barbier and Brantley Williams; ten great grandchildren, Charlee, Zane, Jesse, Jessie, Lanna, Antione, Mikayla, Destrie, Carson and Bentlee; six siblings, Jake Lord, Donald “Butch” Barbier, Freddie “Pete” Crochet, Carol Seruntine, Cathrine Blanchard and Susann Brailey and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
He is preceded in death by his son, Ronald “Ronnie” Barbier Jr., parents, Adam “Tonie” and Violia Landry Barbier and his two siblings, Wilbert Landry and Valrie Crochet.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the Brusly St. Martin Chapel in Belle Rose, LA, from 9:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Burial will follow in the Belle River Baptist Cemetery in Belle River, LA.
