

Rosa Mae was a very kind hearted lady who always put the needs of others before her own. Her family was everything to her, and she always made sure they were well taken care of. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones and found joy in making beaded jewelry with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rosa Mae also enjoyed playing on her Facebook, cooking, cleaning, and creating a warm and welcoming home for everyone around her.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of sixty-three years, Clay Metrejean Sr.; six children, Clay Metrejean Jr. (Marilyn), Roeana Breaux (Earl Sr.), Julius Metrejean (Faith), Rodney Metrejean, Dianne Aucoin (Patrick Sr.) and Ronnie Metrejean; numerous grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; her two sisters, Diane Landry and Catherine Albarado and numerous extended family members.
She is preceded in death by her three grandchildren, Patrick Aucoin Jr., Brandon Heath Dunigan Sr. and Baby Aucoin; parents, Jeffery and Angelic Sanchez Guillot; two siblings, Mable Domingue and Marie Aucoin and one daughter-in-law Brandie Metrejean.
A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part, LA, on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 8:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Belle River, LA.
