Russell Paul Guillot Sr.

Russell was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grand father, brother, uncle, and friend. He was known for his kind heart and the love he had for his wife and family. Russell was a devoted Catholic who cherished his faith. He was a dedicated Usher for St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. In his past time, he enjoyed doing carpenter work for his kids and grandkids, fishing, crawfishing, gardening, raising rabbits, and Thursday night suppers at the camp. He was a retired Carpenter Foreman for Swift Ships in Morgan City for over thirty six years.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of sixty two years, Barbara Woods Guillot; four children, Russell Guillot Jr., Pamela Blanchard (Dale), Keith Guillot Sr. (Brenda), and Frank Guillot Jr. (Marlene); eight grandchildren, Jacey B. Albarado (Shane), Samantha G. Blanchard (Delray), Tiffany G. Louque (Nick), Rustin Guillot, Keith Guillot Jr. (Mikayla), Tad Blanchard (Jerrica), Lyndsi G. Landry (Jacob), and Kaylin G. Thevis (Andrew); nineteen great grandchildren, Kade, Brayden, Chloe, Ridge, Brett, Micah, Joseph, Kase "Moosie", Brynzlie, Jaxon, Jake, Myah, Blake, Beckett, Jordan, Rustin Jr., Kaiden, Avalyn, and Kamden; three siblings, Albruge Guillot, Elmo Guillot, and Maudry Ann Guillot.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Darla Guillot; one grandson, Brett Blanchard; one great grandson, Kameron Guillot; parents, Noah and Victorine Aucoin Guillot; eight siblings, Amelia Guillot, Eugenie Guillot, Mandy G. Blanchard, Ridley Guillot, Melton Guillot, Isidore Guillot, Jerry Guillot, and Frank Guillot Sr.

A visitation will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022 at Ourso Funeal Home from 8:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church with interment to follow in the church mausoleum.

The family would like to thank Dr. Bolotte, Dr. Milletello, Bayou Home Care in Pierre Part, and everyone who helped in any way.
