OBITUARY
Verna Theresa Hebert
October 3, 1941 – March 16, 2021
Verna Theresa Hebert, 79, a native of Donaldsonville and resident of Pierre Part, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021. Verna was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sibling, and friend. She adored her family and loved family gatherings. Verna was a kindhearted selfless person who always put everyone’s needs before hers. She had a passion for dancing, sewing, crocheting, cooking, camping, and reading. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her ten children, Lee “Digger” Lake (Denise “BB”), Troy “Mike” Lake (Denise), Vanessa “Noonie” Daus (Michael), Kenneth “Kenny” Lake (Marlene), Sandra “Rookie” Prejean (Timmy), Wilbert Hebert Jr.(Tonya), Wayne Hebert (Arlene), Roger Dale Hebert (Melissa), Trudy Crochet (Gerald), and Lanson Hebert; twenty seven grandchildren; twenty nine great grandchildren; two siblings, Norma Landry and Kenneth Boudreaux (Lorraine), and one son-in-law, Ernest Crochet. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Hebert Sr.; one child, Marlene Crochet; parents, Cleoger and Francis Verrett Boudreaux, and three siblings, Robert Boudreaux, Ernest Boudreaux, and Thelma Benoit. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Ochsner of Morgan City, Thibodaux Regional Medical Center, Divinity Home Health, and everyone for their prayers and support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. In honor of her wishes there will be no services.

She was a sweet lady , who loved her children, her husband, grandkids, and blended family. I babysat her kids and she loved and disciplined them when they needed it. She taught me a lot of life lessons. Will surely miss her.
