Beverly Ann Lucas Downing was born in Dayton, Ohio at Good Samaritan Hospital on July 15, 1938. Her parents, Mark Joseph Lucas and Dorothy K. (George) Lucas. Beverly was brought up in the Dayton View area where she attended grade school and Fairview High School.
In the fall of 1953 she met Walter through a friend after both finishing high school.Walter joined the USA Army and Beverly attended Stephen's College in Columbia, Missouri receiving her B.A. degree. All this time keeping in touch (many letters) . They were married on August 28, 1959. Moved to Lighthouse Point, Florida in May 1961. They had three sons, Walter Jr., James, and Thomas. Walter married Diane, James and Kathy, and last but not least Thomas and Lynn.
A wonderful life together with ups and downs. Lived in the same home for 62 years. We were truly sweethearts for 74 years. Grandchildren, Jessica, Erin, James, and Thomas Jr. Great grandchildren Alexandra, Ahria and Royce.
