My Uncle Jimmy was the absolute best. Once a year on work, he would come out to Austin while I was living there, and he would always make it a point to ensure we went out to dinner. Just the two of us, to talk, to catch up; he was a great listener, and gave me some of the best advice that a little college girl needed while living away from home. I will cherish these—though, short lived—annual dinner dates in my heart forever. Love ya Uncle Jim Jam. 

I had the fortune of crossing paths with Jimmy, to me he was a great mentor, colleague and friend. He was able to make everyone feel different in a positive way, always easy to talk to, always giving the best advice.
I admired him, in  the way he loved his family, his discipline, the dedication and passion he put in everything, his work, job, hobby.

My deepest condolences to the family, my thoughts and prayers will be with you.

I had the good fortune of working with Jimmy many years… To say Jimmy will be missed is an understatement. He was a great friend and colleague - always quick to praise his children and family.  Having a boy and twin girls ourselves, he’d always had words of wisdom for us. To his wife and family: I am so sorry for your loss,  there are no words to ease these difficult times. You are all in our prayers & thoughts. 


Jimmy was truly one of a kind - a true sportsman/outdoorsman.
No matter what question I threw at him regarding fishing, boating or hunting Jimmy had the answer. If you had enough time he was never lost with a good story of his many adventures.
Jimmy was one of the most respected individuals in the produce industry. His integrity and character was unsurpassed.
I'm  fifteen years older than Jimmy but I learned from him everyday.
His love of his family was always well known. He was very proud of his children. I envied his life.

Every encounter I had with with Mr. Graves was awesome. His high energy and charismatic nature was contagious and beautiful. As young adults we must take these tragedies  and learn to be kind, make someone smile, and have genuine conversations with people, you never know what someone is going through. I met Jimmy about 20 years ago / JRG Produce.  I admired his energy and passion for adventure.  He was such a great storyteller!  While at Fresh Quest, we would drive to Port Manatee (a 4 hr drive), and he would talk the whole way there!  Such a great guy/everyone loved him.  You will be missed!

Although it's been quite a few years, we will always remember Jimmy and how much he loved and cared for his beautiful family.  We will hold him and our family close to our hearts.

Always a generous host and kind friend. He lit up to see his son on stage as a newly successful  comedian and to see his daughters  come home from school and enjoy life in boats and on the water. Sabrina, the love of his life, was the perfect partner for all things Jimmy loved from fishing and hunting to messing about in boats in the keys. It is with a very heavy heart that I write this.  Jim, my nephew, was the epitome of love for his family and friends.  He had a smile that would touch your heart.  He was a beacon of love, kindness, hospitality, friendship and most of all generosity.  I bragged about him to everyone I know.  You couldn't find a more loving husband and father.  It's hard to forget someone who  gave you so much to remember.  Maybe they are not stars in the sky but rather openings where out loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy.
We share in this time of grief but also share in the love and memories of Jimmy.
May you walk with the Angels and be guided to our Supreme Heavenly Father for eternal peace.
Blessed are those who morn, for they shall be comforted.

I worked with Jimmy for many years and will miss him very much.  He was always kind, thoughtful, and stood up for those around him whom he respected and valued. I will cherish all the fond memories, the many lunches we had shared as a group, the laughter, and the countless times I would plop myself in the chair aside his desk to talk. I loved hearing him talk of his twin girls, as I have much younger twin girls myself, so hearing his stories was like insight into what life may look like for me in the future.  He was a good man, a man I had much admiration for, and my prayers are with him and his family

My deepest thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.   I was a Phi Delt with Jimmy and he was a leader in the classroom as well as the fraternity house.  His charm, charisma and intellect was something I will always remember.
