

After a courageous battle with cancer, Jennifer Lynn Nitchman-Engelbrecht passed away peacefully on January 14th, 2017, in Citrus Springs, FL at the age of 38. She leaves behind her husband, Paul J. Engelbrecht III, her mother Patricia J. Nitchman, and her sister Amy M. Ramshaw.
Jen was born at Holy Cross hospital on September 21, 1978 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL to her parents Patricia and Charles G. Nitchman. She grew up in Deerfield Beach and was involved in many activities including girl scouts, soccer, basketball, softball, and volleyball. She loved listening to and playing music. She participated in the school choir and band, where she played the saxophone. She also took piano and bass lessons. Jen attended Zion Lutheran in grade school, Hope Lutheran in middle school, and Deerfield Beach High School. She attended college at Broward Community College and Tallahassee Community College and majored in computer science.
Jen married Paul J. Engelbrecht III in 2009. As an adult, Jen enjoyed spending time with her family more than anything else. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, scuba diving, kayaking, canoeing, and snorkeling. Jen touched the lives of many people with her smile and maintained her trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. Funeral services will be held at Kraeer Funeral Home, 1199 NE 36th St., Pompano Bch., FL 33064, (954) 946-2900. All are welcome to attend to celebrate Jen’s life. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, January 19th, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. The funeral is scheduled for Friday, January 20th at 11:00 am.
