Thomas Wiswall Richardson passed away at his home on September 26, 2018 at the age of 78. Tom is predeceased by his parents, Philip Burtt and Elizabeth Wiswall Richardson. He is survived by his brother Henry “Ted” Richardson II, and his daughters, Amanda Richardson and Elizabeth Grozis. He is lovingly remembered by his three grandchildren, Ryne Vedder Grozis, Blake-Anne Richardson Fletcher, and William Bradford Fletcher.
Tom was born in Montclair, NJ on May 13, 1940. He attended Haverford College in Philadelphia and then joined the Army Reserves. Afterwards, he was an entrepreneur and worked for the Richardson Scale Company in Clifton, NJ, Bartley Foundry in Bartley, NJ, and Noise Unlimited in Somerville, NJ.
Tom enjoyed his business ventures and later retired to Lighthouse Point, FL, where he pursued his passion for finance and investing. He joined the local “Coast Guard” because of his love of boating, and invested his time and expertise in his small residential community to guarantee its success.
The memorial service will be held at Kraeer Funeral Home at 1199 E Sample Road, Pompano Beach, FL, on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 4:00, with a short reception following.
