

Amelia Labure Friedl, 86, of Port Arthur passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012, at her home surrounded by her family. Amelia was born October 27, 1925, in Port Arthur to the late Bertrand and Sarah Labure. Amelia was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur and had many friends. Amelia is described by her family to be a loving mother, grandmother and devoted wife. Amelia enjoyed gardening, traveling and loved tending to her roses. She will be greatly missed by many.
Amelia was preceded in death by her parents and Grandson, John Scully IV.
Amelia is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Albert Carl Friedl, daughters, Kim Scully and her husband John of Port Arthur; Cynthia Miller and her husband Daniel of Port Arthur; grandchildren, Melisa Davis and her husband Doug of Alabama; Albert Scully, Jacob Scully, William Miller and Mariah Gaspard all of Port Arthur; great grandchildren, Amelia Davis, Daniel Davis and Miah Martinez.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, July 1, 2012, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 6 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home, Port Arthur. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, July 2, 2012, at St. James Catholic Church, Port Arthur, with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
