Annette Rosa Arredondo Calcote, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Sugar Land, Texas on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at the age of 67.
Annette was born in Port Arthur, Texas on June 25, 1954 to parents Epigmenio and Zoila Trevino Arredondo. She was raised in Groves, Texas and was one of six Arredondo girls. Annette raised her five children with love and devotion in Sugar Land, Texas with her husband and love of her life, Jerry Calcote.
Annette was a graduate of Port Neches-Groves High School. After graduation she attended cosmetology school and worked for several years at Methodist Hospital as an Administrative Assistant. She was a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Sugar Land, Texas. Annette’s ultimate accomplishment was being a wonderful mother who was most happy surrounded by her big family. She loved her family with all her heart and instilled in her children this same love of family. This will be her lasting legacy.
Even though Annette was taken too soon, she lived a fulfilling life surrounded by people who adored her. Annette is survived by her husband, Jerry, her children Mark Calcote, Ada (Shawn) Sharkey, Nathan (Kimberly) Calcote, Jerry (Heather) Calcote, her sixteen grandchildren, one great grandchild, her sisters Brenda Badger, Dolores McLin, Eva Theriot, Zita Downs, and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
Annette is preceded in death by her parents Zoila and Epigmenio Arredondo, her sister, Maria Christina “Chris” DeLeon and her son, Clint Matthew Calcote.
Annette will be missed with every smile, every tear, and every beat of our hearts.
Pallbearers will be Chris Ramirez, Jaden Calcote, Tristan Calcote, Connor Calcote, Shawn Sharkey, Danny Theriot, Michael Downs, and honorary pallbearer is Clint Calcote.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 5:00 - 8:00pm at Grammier Oberle Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 10:00am at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church. The burial will follow in Oak Bluff Memorial Park.
